Attention Horizon Hawks,
National Honor Society is hosting Horizon's first ever Ping Pong Tournament for the American Heart Association on in the loft here at school! Come pick up your forms in the main office and bring them to the student center along with a registration fee of $5 during Periods 4-7. There will be both a Singles and Doubles bracket, so grab your friends and join NHS to help raise money and awareness for the #1 leading cause of death in the United States; Heart Disease!
Starting the week of March 27th help out your fellow Hawks with their Big Idea Projects by bringing in lightly used or new stuffed animals for a local foster care home and elementary aged books for McElwain Elementary School. Think about all the sad stuffed animals and old books just sitting on your shelf, and now think of a child smiling brightly, a smile that you caused because of your donation. Donation bins will be found in the front lobby the entire week of March 27th.
The RMASS “Zapping the ACT” prep seminar will be coming to Horizon on . For an opportunity to participate in this awesome two-day after school seminar, you must see Mrs. Bell or Mrs. Neumann in the counseling office to sign up for a spot. The cost of this two-day seminar is usually $89 – but Dr. Shadwell will be paying $50 of the $89 for the first 100 students who sign up – so it will cost you only $39. Don’t pass up this great opportunity to get “prepped” for the ACT Test coming in April. Sign up for the seminar in Counseling.
