Attention sophomores, juniors and seniors: Please sign up in the Counseling Office by 9/12/17 if you are interested in attending Aviation Day 2017 on Friday September 29th from 10:00AM to 1:30PM. This event is designed to provide information on STEM careers within the aviation field.  If enough students sign up we will be able to provide transportation to and from this event.
Please see Ms. Cummings in the counseling office if you don’t have an ID

Students, in order for you to attend Homecoming, you must have a 95% attendance rate.  Attendance will be posted weekly, outside of the dean's office, so please check the list prior to purchasing your ticket.  

Hey all, let's support Colorado and our wonderful state farmers. Come into the cafeteria on 9/13/17 to indulge in the sweet, juicy, deliciousness of Palisade Peaches. Make them a part of your nutritious meal on the 13th and every day when available. Show your Colorado spirit...support our local growers.

The Hawk's Nest will be opening on Thursday, September 14th.  You may purchase snack items there during 2nd hour, part of 3rd and 7th hour, and all of 8th hour.  Once the Hawk's Nest opens, you will need to get a hot lunch by 12:45 p.m. each day.  Nutrition Services will serve a hot lunch until 1:30 p.m. each day, through September 13th.  

Students, Adams 12 no longer allows backpacks or bags to be brought into games at the stadiums.  Please leave them in your car or at home.  

Wanna make some pretzels?  German National Honor Society invites all HHS students and staff to make authentic German pretzels with us this Monday at 3:00.  We will meet in room N2404.  Bis Montag! 


Attention Seniors: Horizon High School will host a Financial Aid Information Session on 9/13/17 from 5:00PM to 6:00PM in the Library.  Front Range Community College will present information to students and parents regarding types of financial aid, documents needed to apply and how to fill out the FAFSA.  If you are unable to attend on 9/13/17, a second information session is scheduled on 9/20/17 from 5:00PM to 6:00PM in the Library.  Seniors/parents need to attend one session only.

Due to the awards ceremony being held in the Student Center on 9/20/17 please enter the kitchen through the door closest to the courtyard for breakfast. We will be opened our normal business hours of 7:45 until 9:00 due to intervention for a healthy & nutritious breakfast.

Clubs
Ultimate Frisbee will meet on Thursdays after school in the courtyard

Ping Pong club is starting this Thursday, September 7th.   Meet in the gym LOFT at 3:00.  All are welcome, from novices to experts, recreational and competitive. 

FCCLA will have its first informational meeting Tuesday, September 5th right after school in room F0607.  Come get a treat and be part of a family.  

Battle of the Books Club will meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at 3pm in the library.

FBLA will meet the first Wednesday of the month in E0505

Interest in Japanese Culture? Want to watch animation from other countries? Come join Anime Club which meets Monday from 3:15-4:30 in Q2715.


Hey Students! If you are interested in checking out the Speech and Debate Club, our first meeting is Monday September 11, 2017 from 3:00PM to 4:00PM in Room D0412.  Join us for a fun meet and greet and hear about what Speech and Debate is all about!


Hawk's Community Service Club will have its first meeting on Monday, September 11th from 3:00-3:30 pm in Room 02513. We will discuss opportunities to contribute to our community plus ways to earn service hours for college resumes and fulfill high school service requirements. Everyone is welcome and snacks will be provided!
