Announcements

Just a reminder, the Hawk store in the main lobby is still open during 8th hour.  We have earbuds, gum, pencils, pens, paper, and notebooks.  If you need it for class or those upcoming finals, come down and see us!

It's time for yearbooks! Seniors, you can pick up your books at the ticket booth in the lobby starting on Friday. Distribution for all students will be Monday through Friday next week. Please make sure you have a photo ID to get your book and make sure to pick it up no later than Friday, May 12. Not sure if you ordered one? Check the list posted next to the ticket booth. See Ms. Root with any questions.

Students: Library end of year due dates are coming soon! Seniors, all library materials are due next week on Tuesday, May 2nd. All other students, your due date is Monday, May 15th. This year we've had about 8000 book circulations! Way to read, Hawks!

Senior News

If you did not receive a letter in the mail come see Ms. Jones in the Main Office.  It has important information regarding practice, check-out and graduation, and special instructions as to what is and isn’t allowed in the CU Event Center.  These restrictions apply to students, staff and all guests attending the graduation ceremony.

Graduation (May 17 – 2:00 pm) is right around the corner, as is practice and check-out (May 12th – (promptly at 9:30) - 2:00). Make sure you are ready by paying fines, getting any books turned into the Library, thank you notes sent (in the Main Office) and projects in to your teachers on time.  Congratulations, you’re almost done!

Do you have a fee or fine?  Make sure you check the senior fine list now posted next to the bookkeeping office.  Please check it often as new fines will be posted daily. All fines and fees must be cleared by May 1st in order to pick up your cap and gown and participate in the graduation ceremony.

Sports, Drama, & Clubs

DECA recently competed in the International Career Development Conference in California. There were roughly 19,000 DECA students from all over the world competing. Horizon students represented Horizon in an extremely professional manner.
A huge congratulation to Jarred Gurss on being a finalist, which means he finished in the top 20! This is a truly impressive accomplishment.  Way to go DECA!
