Announcements

Students:  NO parking in the staff lots.

On behalf of Horizon Administration, the Deans and Officer Quintana,
We wanted to let the student body know that due to the recent vandalism of 6 cars in the parking lot we are offering a $250 crime stoppers reward for information leading to the arrest of the individuals who took part in the vandalism of multiple student vehicles in the parking lot. The school and police department are working together to retrieve video surveillance of the vandalism.  We want to make sure students are aware of their surrounding’s in the parking lots and want to assure you that your property is safe on campus.

Prom tickets are now on sale during all lunches (periods 4-7) on the stage in the Student Center.  Tickets are $40 each!  You MUST have your student ID and 95% attendance to purchase a ticket.  In addition, If you're bringing a guest from another school, you must have your signed and completed guest pass form from the Dean's to get your guest's ticket.  Your guest, if they are a Horizon student, must also have a 95% attendance as of the beginning of 2nd quarter. Please check the list in the hallway across from the Dean’s Office. See Mrs. Sweet for guest pass forms.

If you are interested in being a LINK leader, come to the Student Center on Wednesday, April 19th from 12:30-1 pm. LINK leader applications are due by Monday April 24th.  Links to the application can be found on the Horizon home page or see Mrs. Hoffmann or Mrs. Kathan for details.

There will be no food service on Tuesday April 11th due to the SAT or on Friday April 14th due to Prom. Best of luck to all Juniors on the SAT. To all students attending prom please be safe and make it a night to remember. As always, thank you from the Nutrition Services Staff.

ATTENTION SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS:  COME GET SOME EXERCISE BEFORE HAVING TO SIT AND TEST FOR THREE HOURS. RESEARCH HAS PROVEN THAT PHYSICAL ACTIVITY STIMULATES THE BRAIN, HELPING TO RECALL, PROBLEM SOLVE AND THINK CRITICALLY MORE EFFECTIVELY. WHAT IS IT? BRAIN GYM, WHERE? IN THE BIG GYM, WHEN? APRIL 11TH AT 6:45 AM AND WILL LAST UNTIL 7:10. WE WILL PROVIDE A LIGHT BREAKFAST AFTERWARDS!  SEE ONE OF THE HEALTH OR P.E. TEACHERS IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN JOINING THE FUN!
