Hey Hawks! Looking for a way to de-stress during finals week? Come to yoga in the Auditorium Lobby next Monday and Tuesday at 3:15 and Wednesday at 11:25. Yoga matts will be available for you to use or you can bring your own! If you have any questions see Mrs. Vermaas in counseling.

Students - The Library has over 500 books that are overdue. Start the New Year with a clean slate and return all your overdue books before your last day on Dec 15th.  We also invite you to visit the Library and check out a book to enjoy over Winter Break!

Hey Hawks!  Are you an artist, photographer, poet, writer, or master of creativity?  Submit your work for publication in this year’s Creative Magazine, sponsored by Horizon’s Profile Staff!  Contact Mr. England or the Profile Staff at hhsprofile@gmail.com  Anonymous submissions are A-OK.

DECA’s Toy Drive for the Thornton Police Department will start tomorrow through December 15.  Collection bins will be located in the Main Lobby and E0506.  Any and all donations would be greatly appreciated, and DECA would love your help to make this drive a success!

Student Government is having a Talent show.   If you can sing, dance, play an instrument, flip bottles, play the spoons, then this is the place for you?  The sign-up sheet is in the Main Office.  Deadline to sign-up is December 14th and tryouts will be on January 10th & 11th.  Hurry in and get signed up.

Happy Holidays Hawks!  Once again it’s time for Holiday Spirit Week!  Monday, December 12th is ‘Ghosts of Holidays Past.”  Dress like your favorite decade!  Tuesday the 13th is Ugly Sweater Day!  Show us your ugliest sweater! Wednesday the 14th is Cozy Day, dress comfy for the first day of finals, but please remember to follow the dress code. And finally on Thursday the 15th, wear your favorite flannel.  Then comes Friday, no, there’s no special dress code on this day.  Relax and enjoy the first day of winter break and have a wonderful safe Holiday!

Juniors and Seniors! Are you ready for some post-secondary planning?  HHS is hosting a Career Fair on Friday, January 20th during all lunches.  Come to the Auditorium Lobby and see representatives about Police, Fire, Auto Technology, Cosmetology, Aviation, Transportation and MUCH more.  This is a great opportunity to check out your interests or maybe to find a new path!  We hope to see you all there!

Seniors! The last day to request transcripts to be sent before winter break is Monday, December 12th.  You must have your request into Naviance by Monday, December 12th for your transcript to be sent before winter break.  NO transcripts will be sent during winter break so make sure you plan for colleges that have deadlines during that time.  If you have any questions, please see your counselor.

Sports, Drama, & Clubs
Community Service Club will NOT meet in December due to finals. However, we will still meet on Sunday, Dec 11 at 10:00 to wrap gifts at the Thornton Police Dept. for the Christmas Crusade. All Horizon students are welcome to meet us there to help out!
