Gobble Gobble... Just like family I am late with the invitation. I would like you to come to our Thanksgiving celebration this Thursday 11/17/16. We will have turkey, mashed potatoes & all the other trimmings. Best of all there will be pumpkin pie. I hope you will spend a little time with us & get a delicious meal at the same time. If we don't see you have a wonderful Fall Break with your families. Most of all be careful in all you do. Best Wishes from your Nutrition Staff.
NHS is hosting a Winter Clothing drive for a Precious Child. Help sponsor a child in need this holiday season. Donate winter coats, scarves, gloves, hats and any other cold weather items to the yellow barrels in front of the Main Office and in the Library.
With Thanksgiving coming up, FNHS/French Club wanted to give back to the community by distributing care packages to the homeless in the Denver area. Each third hour class participating will be provided with a box and a list of items. The class that provides for the most care packages wins a doughnut/juice party! Third hour teachers: please contact Ms. Zancanella if you are interested in having your class participate. Care package collections will occur from Monday, November 7th to Wednesday, November 16th.
FCCLA Thanksgiving Grams: Today is the last day to purchase a Thanksgiving gram to show your gratitude to others. Grams will be sold in the Student Center all periods except 3rd. The cost is only $2 for a flower and a card.
You must have 95% or better attendance to attend Prom beginning 2nd quarter. Please check list in hallway across from the Dean's office.
Counseling
Attention Seniors: The Daniels Fund Scholarship application is now open!
The deadline is November 30th. This scholarship pays for 100% of your college expenses; however, families must first show economic need before the application process can begin and all applicants must complete the 2017/18 FAFSA prior to applying. For more information, go to the Daniels Fund website at www.DanielsFund.org. Please inform Mrs. Neumann if you are applying for the Daniels Fund scholarship.
Sports, Drama, & Clubs
Are you interested in computers, or coding? If so, this is the club for you! Join the Coding Club, where you can improve your coding skills, and maybe learn something new! The first meeting is on Wednesday, November 16th. Everybody can join, so come down to E0504 after school on Wednesday, November 16th!
Nov. 29th DECA is hosting a Dollar Drive to support a family in need this holiday season. You can help by bringing a dollar to your second hour class! Hand all donations to your second hour teacher. All donations will be used to sponsor a family through the Denver Rescue Mission’s Adopt-a-family program!
