Announcements 

With Thanksgiving coming up, FNHS/French Club wanted to give back to the community by distributing care packages to the homeless in the Denver area. Each third hour class participating will be provided with a box and a list of items. The class that provides for the most care packages wins a doughnut/juice party! Third hour teachers: please contact Ms. Zancanella if you are interested in having your class participate. Care package collections will occur from Monday, November 7th to Wednesday, November 16th.

FCCLA  Thanksgiving Grams:  This month of November is all about giving thanks, so FCCLA will be selling Thanksgiving grams for you to show your gratitude to others.  Grams will be sold starting this morning Nov. 7th in the Student Center.  Grams can be purchased during all periods except 3rd.and the cost is only $2 for a flower and a card.  Four for you, Glen Coco you go Glen Coco!

SOAR Students,  
Please come join the SOAR program tonight as we view the incoming results of the election.  During this time, SOAR students will be able to vote for one of the two SOAR candidates for Sophomore SOAR Leader.  SOAR students will have the opportunity to watch our two candidates' videos and vote for who will earn a voice for the SOAR program.  Please meet us in the Student Center at Horizon from 6:00-8:00 p.m. to engage in our civic duties. Pizza will be served.   Wear your red, white, and blue!

Staff and Students, come and help celebrate with Savannah Arellano, Maddie Blood-Smyth, and Kylie Jimenez as they sign their letter of intent. November 9th, 12:30 in the student center. Congratulations to all 3 Lady Hawk Athletes!!

You must have 95% or better attendance to attend Prom beginning 2nd quarter.  Please check list in hallway across from the Dean's office.

Counseling

Attention Seniors: The Daniels Fund Scholarship application is now open!
The deadline is November 30thThis scholarship pays for 100% of your college expenses; however, families must first show economic need before the application process can begin and all applicants must complete the 2017/18 FAFSA prior to applying.  For more information, go to the Daniels Fund website at www.DanielsFund.org.  Please inform Mrs. Neumann if you are applying for the Daniels Fund scholarship.

Sports, Drama, & Clubs

Attention GSA:  We will make ribbons for Transgender Remembrance this Wednesday & next Wednesday. at 12:30 in C0304.  Hope to see you there! 

Attention all girls looking to play basketball this season. There will be a 4 day preseason skills and conditioning thru Thursday November 10th in the main gym! 

Winter Athletic Check-In thru Nov.9th. Paperwork is not accepted on November 14th. Don't forget to have your updated physical and payment. Required paperwork is on line on the athletic page or you can pick them up in the athletic office during school hours.
