PICTURE RETAKES ARE TODAY.  STUDENTS MUST HAVE ORIGINAL PICTURE PACKET WITH THEM IN ORDER TO GET RETAKES.  STUDENTS CAN ALSO HAVE PICTURES TAKEN AT THAT TIME FOR PURCHASE.

Would you like a chance to support a noble cause?  Do you feel passionately about cancer research?  Horizon DECA is fundraising for Breast Cancer Research.  1 in 7 Coloradan Woman will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer in her lifetime.  Horizon DECA is selling T-shirts to support Cancer Research.  Come to the lobby during periods 4, 5, and 6 and buy a t-shirt for $10.  Wear your pink shirt every Wednesdayto show your Support.

Horizon Students & Parents: Here is a golden opportunity to help the Music & Theatre Department raise some money and enjoy some delicious food.   From 5:00 pm – Close, Monday, October 17th, Old Chicago at 120th & Colorado, will donate a portion of the cost of your food to the Music & Theatre Department.  So mark your calendars today and come support this important program!!

Counseling

Students!  Welcome to college month!  The teacher door decorating contest begins next week.  Please be respectful of the decorated doors and enjoy all the wonderful creativity that your teachers are planning!  Lets look but not touch!  #HHSgoestocollege

Attention Seniors: The Daniels Fund Scholarship application is now open!
The deadline is November 30thThis scholarship pays for 100% of your college expenses; however, families must first show economic need before the application process can begin and all applicants must complete the 2017/18 FAFSA prior to applying.  For more information, go to the Daniels Fund website at www.DanielsFund.org.  Please inform Mrs. Neumann if you are applying for the Daniels Fund scholarship.

Sports, Drama, & Clubs

Good luck to Jett Lopez, Parker Kretzler, Robert Gauer, Sam Wiske today at the state tennis tournament.

Need something awesome to do this ThursdayFriday and Saturday?  Make plans now to attend the musical ‘Clue” put on by our drama department, and also check out the silent auction.  Each night from6:00 – 9:00 you can bid on several items on display and then enjoy the play starting at 7:00.   

Congratulations to Parker Kretzel and Jett Lopez for making it to STATE in tennis last weekend!  This is a tremendous feat to place first or second in an eight-team regional and earn the right to play at the state level.  They will be competing this Thursday at the Gates Tennis Center against Broomfield High School's three doubles team.  Congratulations also to their tennis coach Alex Le!   Good Luck Parker and Jett!  Go Hawk Tennis!

Attention students interested in playing Ice Hockey.  There will be a parent meeting at Standley Lake High School on Monday, October 24th.  The meeting will begin at 6pm in the Auditorium.  Come meet the coach and learn more about the upcoming season!  Ice Hockey tryouts are scheduled for Monday, November 14th & Thursday, November 17th, at 4:15pm at the Promenade Ice Center.
