Horizon High School has once again implemented an attendance policy for all students going to prom.  However, grades 9 &10 must be invited to prom by an upper classman to be able to attend prom.  Students wishing to attend prom are expected to maintain a minimum 95% attendance rate starting October 19, 2015 through April 21, 2016.  We are only monitoring unexcused absences and unexcused partial absences.  Please make sure you call the Attendance line at 720-972-4597 to excuse your students.

Juniors and Seniors:   The 2016 prom, Starry Nights, City Lights will be held on April 22nd from 8 p.m. to midnight at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Prom tickets are on sale for $40 now through April 21st, periods 4-8. You cannot buy tickets at the door, so make sure to avoid the last minute lines and get yours today!  Please have a valid student ID to purchase tickets and make sure you check your eligibility on the attendance lists across from the Dean's office as only juniors and seniors who meet the attendance requirements will be sold a ticket. If you have questions about purchasing tickets, please contact Mrs. Gallagher or Ms. Keigan.

You must have your 2015/2016 Horizon ID to be admitted to Prom or AfterProm.  If you have lost your ID, you must request a replacement from Mrs. Cummings in Counseling.  There will be a $5 charge for each replacement ID.  Deadline to request a replacement ID for Prom is April 20th.  Don’t miss out!

Students who plan on bringing a guest to prom that does not go to Horizon High School must have a guest pass filled out and signed by a Dean.  Guest passes are available in the Dean's office.

SENIOR NEWS

Starting April 11th all Seniors must complete the Senior Survey in Naviance.  It is the ONLY place you can request your final transcript to be sent out after graduation, showing your final grades & graduation date.  Final transcripts will not be sent with any other request.  This task needs to be completed by your final day on May 11 to receive your cap & gown.  You can take the survey on a computer, tablet or SmartPhone.  We have three computers set-up in counseling for your convenience.  If you need assistance with your Naviance Log-In we will be glad to help you in the Horizon Counseling Office.

Seniors! Please nominate your classmates for prom royalty using the form, which is available on the school website. You may submit multiple responses to this form, but each response must be unique. All responses must be received no later than midnight on April 10th. Voting will take place April 13-21 online.

The senior fine list is now posted next to the bookkeeping office.  Please check often as new fines will be posted daily. All fines and fees must be cleared by May 11th in order to pick up your cap and gown and participate in the graduation ceremony.

If you did not pick up your Announcements, and there is no remaining balance, you can pick them up at the Bookkeeping Office.  Pay your remaining balance at www.jonstens.com.

Please report ALL scholarship offers, even if you are not accepting them, to Tami Jones in the Main Office by April 22.  You can call 720-972-4526 or emailtami.jones@adams12.org  Continue to check Horizons Senior Page on the Horizon website http://horizon.adams12.org for important dates and information.
