Announcements

Horizon High School has once again implemented an attendance policy for all students going to prom.  However, grades 9 &10 must be invited to prom by an upper classman to be able to attend prom.  Students wishing to attend prom are expected to maintain a minimum 95% attendance rate starting October 19, 2015 through April 21, 2016.  We are only monitoring unexcused absences and unexcused partial absences.
Please make sure you call the Attendance line at 720-972-4597 to excuse your students.

This Saturday, March 12th, Macy's at the Orchard Town Center is doing a special prom event for area schools. During this event, all dresses will be 25% off. In addition, there will be free make overs between 12 and 4 p.m. This is only at the Orchard Town Center location on 144th. Prom is April 22nd, so be sure to take advantage of this event!

Bollman Technical Education center is having their spring conferences today from 4:00pm to 6:30pm.  Teachers will be in their classrooms to answer any of your questions.  ProStart conferences will be held at the ESC.  For additional information go to the BTEC website at www.Bollmantech.adams12.org

Counseling
ATTENTION JUNIORS
The RMASS “Zapping the ACT” prep seminar will be coming to Horizon on March 30th & 31st.  For an opportunity to participate in this awesome two-day after school seminar, you must see Mrs. Bell or Mrs. Neumann in the counseling office to sign up for a spot.  The cost of this two-day seminar is usually $89 – but Dr. Shadwell will be paying $50 of the $89 for the first 100 students who sign up – so it will cost you only $39.  Don’t pass up this great opportunity to get “prepped” for the ACT Test coming in April. Sign up for the seminar in Counseling.

Attention students interested in community service hours: the Hawk's Community Service Club will have an opportunity to provide child care and play fun games and activities on Sunday, March 13 from 12-4 at a church auction in Broomfield.
