Horizon High School has once again implemented an attendance policy for students, grades 9-12 to be able to attend prom.  Students wishing to attend prom are expected to maintain a minimum 95% attendance rate starting October 19, 2015 through April 21, 2016.  We are only monitoring unexcused absences and unexcused partial absences.
Please make sure you call the Attendance line at 720-972-4597 to excuse your students.

The Sophomore SOAR class would like to put forth a challenge to each student and staff member here at Horizon, to take PRIDE in the Hawk Nation and clean up our school.  As you are going about your day and see trash please pick it up and throw it away or recycle it if possible.  Let’s clean it up Horizon!

Sports, Drama & Clubs

Horizon students, Sophomore Class Leadership needs your help in designing the t-shirts for each graduating class!!  If you are interested in creating the design for the front of your graduating class' t-shirt, then come get a form from the main office.  Please be sure to follow the requirements on the form when creating your design.  All designs must be turned in no later than 3pm on Monday, December 14th in the Main Office.  Sophomore Class Leadership will choose the top 3 designs for each graduating class.  Then, the designs will be posted online so students and staff can vote for their favorites!  Students will be able to purchase the chosen design for their class' t-shirt in January!

Congratulations to the boys basketball team. The boys kicked off their season with a soaring 97-56 victory at Thornton. Shout out to all the students who showed up to watch the game, our next game is Thursday night at Northglenn.

Students, are you a fan of mythology and adventure? Do you enjoy working with other writers? Ask Ms. Poinier in the library for the chance to read a novel in development by one of our own Hawk students!
