Finals...Finals...Finals....Come to the kitchen to feed your body and your mind to do your very best on your first semester finals. Breakfast hours are from 7 until 9 both December 16th & 17th. No lunch will be served these days. The entire kitchen staff wishes you the very best on your finals and throughout the holiday season.

Hey Hawks! It's Computer Science Education Week December 7th -13th. Did you know that jobs in computer programming are growing at 2 times the national average and that by 2020 there will be 1 million more jobs than qualified students??!! Counseling

Seniors! To have your transcript sent before winter break (including colleges that have deadlines over winter break) a request must be made in Naviance by today.  No transcripts will be sent during winter break.  See your counselor if you have questions.
Sports, Drama & Clubs

Staff and students: anyone interested in helping to gift wrap toys for less fortunate families, head to the Thornton Police Dept this Saturday and Sunday, any time between from8:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm. The Police Dept is near I-25 and Thornton Parkway. Gift wrapping supplies are provided and this is an easy way to help out our community!

Congratulations to DECA           for their excellent performance last Friday.  Horizon DECA took 63 out of the 83 possible spots for State Competition!  Way to go Hawks!!

Also a big congratulations to the HHS Marching Hawks for earning 1st place in the Parade of Lights music and marching competition.  The marching band performed for over 200,000 people at Friday night's parade and for a similar crowd at Saturday night's parade.  Nice work, Marching Hawks -- way to represent Hawk Nation

A Precious Child clothing drive is happening today thru December 17th.  Place your gently used clothes in the yellow bins around the school.  Shoes, scarves, teen, toddler, women and mens clothing accepted. Lets help someone during this winter season.  Donate today!

Let's get ready for the end of the semester and spread some holiday cheer! This week is spirit week! 
Wednesday: Snow Day (Comfy, cozy attire. No pajamas), Thursday: Crazy Socks Day, Friday: Flannel Friday.  ​There are signs around the building to help you remember! ​

Horizon students, Sophomore Class Leadership needs your help in designing the t-shirts for each graduating class!!  If you are interested in creating the design for the front of your graduating class' t-shirt, then come get a form from the main office.  Please be sure to follow the requirements on the form when creating your design.  All designs must be turned in no later than 3pm on Monday, December 14th in the Main Office.  Sophomore Class Leadership will choose the top 3 designs for each graduating class.  Then, the designs will be posted online so students and staff can vote for their favorites!  Students will be able to purchase the chosen design for their class' t-shirt in January!
