Announcements: Monday 11-09-2015

Athletic check-in is now through November 10th. Paperwork is available on line or in the athletic office. Please see Ms Hill if you have any questions.

Horizon High School has once again implemented an attendance policy for students, grades 9-12 to be able to attend prom.  Students wishing to attend prom are expected to maintain a minimum 95% attendance rate starting October 19, 2015 through April 21, 2016.  We are only monitoring unexcused absences and unexcused partial absences. 
Please make sure you call the Attendance line at 720-972-4597 to excuse your students.

Seniors:  A Jostens representative will be at Horizon today & tomorrowNovember 9th & 10 during all lunches 10:00-2:00, to take your cap & gown, announcement & mug orders
Counseling

Seniors!  Please make sure that you are requesting your transcripts in Naviance.  If you have a transcript that needs to be sent either before or during the Thanksgiving break, you MUST request it in Naviance by Thursday, November 19th.  No transcripts will be sent during the week of Thanksgiving break.

Sports, Drama & Clubs

If your interested in spring baseball there will be an informational meeting on Wednesday November 18th from 12:35-12:50in the auxiliary gym.

Hey Hawks, the next round of Battle of the Books begins this week and you can still join our club! Our first meeting on the mystery genre is this Thursday, November 12th at 3pm in the library. See Ms. Poinier with any questions.
Students, are you a fan of mythology and adventure? Do you enjoy working with other writers? Ask Ms. Poinier in the library for the chance to read a novel in development by one of our own Hawk students!

Congratulations to Lina Osmundson for earning the distinction of Concert Master at the Western Regionals Honor Orchestra Festival. She earned the role of first chair in the Symphony Orchestra. Good work and way to represent Hawk Nation! 

Anyone interested in community service hours, the Hawk's Community Service Club meets today from 3:00-3:30 pm in room 02513. We will be signing up for November and December activities such as the Bunny Rescue and Foodbank of the Rockies! FCCLA is encouraged to come join the Community Service Club.  See you Monday!

Boys Basketball:  Winter Camp today & tomorrow from 3:30-5:30 (all grade levels).  TRYOUTS November 12-13 from 3:30-6:30, and Saturday November 14 from 9:00-12:00.
