Prom Information

You must have your 2014/2015 Horizon ID to be admitted to Prom or AfterProm.  If you have lost your ID, you must request a replacement from Mrs. Cummings in Counseling.  There will be a $5 charge to your Student Fee Account. Deadline to request a replacement ID for Prom is Wednesday, April 15th.  Don’t miss out!
In addition, your guest must bring a photo ID to get into Prom & AfterProm.

Juniors and Seniors: Get ready for some under the sea excitement. Prom tickets are on sale this week, Tuesday-Thursday in the Student Center during most lunches, and after school on Wednesday and Thursday. Tickets are $40 each and your name must be on the approved attendance list to purchase a ticket. You must also provide ID to purchase tickets. 

The Prom date is April 17th from 8:00 pm – 11:30 pm at the Aquarium. AfterProm is at Boondocks immediately after prom from midnight until Saturday morning, April 18th at 4:00 am for grades 9-12.  Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

if you are bringing someone who is NOT a Horizon student you must get a guest pass from the Deans Office.  All guest passes must be signed and turned in to the Deans Office by Wednesday, April 15th.

Special Announcements
Please return all library books to the library and classroom books to the teacher that checked it out to you.  If the teacher is not available you may return your book to the library.

If you are interested in becoming a LINK leader, applications are on the Horizon Home Page. We also welcome you to come to the April Play Date from 12:30-1 after school on Wednesday the 15th. See Mrs. Hoffmann or Mrs. Kathan for more information.

Students if you do not have a parking permit on your car please see Mr. Garcia.  If you continue to park without a parking permit your car may be towed.

Counseling & Senior News
Seniors:  It’s almost time for our final senior meeting and the senior slide show?  Please email your pictures to Amy.Haefner@adams12.orgno later than Tuesday, April 21.  Pictures must be school appropriate and mostly Horizon students.  Send in a variety of photos from dances, sports events, field trips or any activities you’ve experienced in your years at Horizon.

Seniors all fees and fines must be paid to graduate. The senior fine list is posted outside the bookkeeping office.  The list will be updated weekly as fines are added for field trips and lost books so please check often. 

Additionally, the Career Center will be open during Intervention on Wednesdays from now until the ACT test date to work on PrepMe in Naviance to improve your ACT scores.  Any questions on these ACT Prep opportunities – see Mrs. Neumann in the counseling office.

Do you want to prepare for the ACT test? Log into your Naviance account and go to PrepMe under Resources for individualized ACT test preparation lessons and tools. The curriculum is online and covers all of the concepts and skills tested on the ACT, including the essay. Anywhere you have internet access, you can work ACT preparation in PrepMe in Naviance.
