Counseling & Senior News

ATTENTION JUNIORS  The RMASS “Zapping the ACT” prep seminar will be coming to Horizon on April 1st & 2nd.  For an opportunity to participate in this awesome two-day after school seminar, you must see Mrs. Bell or Mrs. Neumann in the counseling office to sign up for a spot.  The cost of this two-day seminar is usually $89 – but Ms. Smiley will be paying $50 of the $89 for the first 100 students who sign up – so it will cost you only $39.  Don’t pass up this great opportunity to get “prepped” for the ACT Test coming in April.

Additionally, the Career Center will be open during Intervention on Wednesdays from now until the ACT test date to work on PrepMe in Naviance to improve your ACT scores.
Any questions on these ACT Prep opportunities – see Mrs. Neumann in the counseling office.

Do you love science?  The Teen Science Scholars Program has a wonderful opportunity for juniors and seniors.  The deadline for applications is March 16th.  Visit the Denver Museum for Nature and Science website or your counselor for more information.

Do you want to prepare for the ACT test? Log into your Naviance account and go to PrepMe under Resources for individualized ACT test preparation lessons and tools. The curriculum is online and covers all of the concepts and skills tested on the ACT, including the essay. Anywhere you have internet access, you can work ACT preparation in PrepMe in Naviance.
