ATTENTION JUNIORS The RMASS “Zapping the ACT” prep seminar will be coming to Horizon on . For an opportunity to participate in this awesome two-day after school seminar, you must see Mrs. Bell or Mrs. Neumann in the counseling office to sign up for a spot. The cost of this two-day seminar is usually $89 – but Ms. Smiley will be paying $50 of the $89 for the first 100 students who sign up – so it will cost you only $39. Don’t pass up this great opportunity to get “prepped” for the ACT Test coming in April.
Additionally, the Career Center will be open during Intervention on Wednesdays from now until the ACT test date to work on PrepMe in Naviance to improve your ACT scores. Any questions on these ACT Prep opportunities – see Mrs. Neumann in the counseling office.
Do you love science? The Teen Science Scholars Program has a wonderful opportunity for juniors and seniors. The deadline for applications is March 16th. Visit the Denver Museum for Nature and Science website or your counselor for more information.
Do you want to prepare for the ACT test? Log into your Naviance account and go to PrepMe under Resources for individualized ACT test preparation lessons and tools. The curriculum is online and covers all of the concepts and skills tested on the ACT, including the essay. Anywhere you have internet access, you can work ACT preparation in PrepMe in Naviance.

Great job to all the Varsity track athletes that competed night.
The boys finished 2nd overall out of 10 teams. The following boys finished in the top 3 spots of their events. Jay Dinkel, Jake Heronema, Brayden Killmon, Koy Bowen, and Donnie Ryan with Jay taking 2 1sts and Jake also taking a 1st. The boys won both the 4x100 relay and the 4x200 relays.
On the girls side, Maddie Mooney took a 1st while Natalie Platl, and Bailey Lucero each earned a 2nd and 3rd place finish. In addition, the girls 4x800 relay team took 2nd place.
