Students: The Library has over 800 books that are over due. Notices will be sent to your classroom soon. Please come by the Library and renew or return your books. Thanks!

Are you hungry? Feed your body and your brains to fuel up for PARCC testing. The Main kitchen and AL A Carte Room will be open to feed your need from 10:30 until 1:30 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday March 2nd through the 13th

Wednesdays will be on a normal serving schedule. If it is snacks you crave go to the Concession Stand in the gym. Breakfast will be unchanged. Eat healthy to do your best on these all important tests

Do you love science?  The Teen Science Scholars Program has a wonderful opportunity for juniors and seniors.  The deadline for applications isMarch 16th.  Visit the Denver Museum for Nature and Science website or your counselor for more information.

Counseling & Senior News
Seniors:  Cap & gown pictures will be tomorrowFebruary 27th from 7:00 am-3:00 pm in the Student Center.  Caps, gowns, cords etc., will be provided.  Order forms can be picked up in the Main Office.  Any questions call Tami Jones@720-972-4400.

PSAT Results Are In!  If you took the PSAT in October, come to the counseling office to pick up your results & information on how to access collegeboard.org resources.

Do you want to prepare for the ACT test? Log into your Naviance account and go to PrepMe under Resources for individualized ACT test preparation lessons and tools. The curriculum is online and covers all of the concepts and skills tested on the ACT, including the essay. Anywhere you have internet access, you can work ACT preparation in PrepMe in Naviance.

Sports, Clubs & Drama
We spent the past four days at our State DECA competition with 44 of our students.  They represented HHS in a very professional, mature, and respectful manner.  We also had some students who did a great job competitively as we had a team who made the finals (top 10) and three students who qualified for ICDC in Orlando, FL.  Horizon is also now home to the DECA state president - Leilani Osmundson.  Jarred Gurss - 1st Place - Principles of Finance,  2nd Place - Sports & Entertainment Promotion Plan,  Wyatt Nelson - 4th Place - Principles of Marketing, Leilani Osmundson - 5th place - Professional Selling (and State President), Dominik Krenik & Dioniso Rivas - Finalists - Financial Analysis Team

Come support the Girls Basketball team this Friday at 6:00 p.m at Rampart High School for their second round of playoffs.  Sign up in the Main Office to ride the Spirit bus for only $1.00.  You must sign up by noon today.  Only CHSSA passes are acceptable for this game. No student athletic passes will be permitted.  Cost for adults is $7 and $5 for students & Senior citizens.  LET’S CHEER THEM ON TO VICTORY!!

Congratualtions Boys Basketball for your 54-48 win over Smokey Hill.  Way to go Hawks!!
