Special Announcements

Ann Dang applied for and was accepted to participate in the Colorado ASTA Painted violin fundraiser at the Colorado Music Educators conference at the Broadmoor.  There were seven young artists selected from Colorado.  Bidding for the violins are online. You can check it out at http://www.colo-asta.org.  Congratulations Ann!!

Attention Juniors & Seniors:  ACT science only prep session next Wednesday February 4th from 3-5??? In the Fish bowl P2604.

Students,  Need a place to hangout? Grab lunch? Study? Do Homework? Stop in at the Summit of Peace Lutheran Church next door on Wednesdays from 12p.m. -4:30p.m. and have a piece of pizza for only $3.

Prom attendance started 2nd quarter and will be checked on a regular basis.   If you are a Junior, Senior or underclassman who has been invited by an upperclassman, you must have a 95% attendance rate up to the Prom date of April 17th to attend.

Counseling & Senior News

Need help completing your FAFSA application?  Horizon High School will host a FAFSA Workshop presented by the Educational Opportunity Center on Thursday, February 5, 2015 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.  Please stop by the Counseling office and pick up a list of what you will need to bring to the workshop in order to complete the financial aid application.

Seniors:  It is time to nominate your senior class favorites.  Please go to the Horizon Web site, click the link and nominate a boy and girl for your senior favorites.  You have until February 4th to nominate. 

PSAT Results Are In!  If you took the PSAT in October, come to the counseling office to pick up your results & information on how to access collegeboard.org resources.

Do you want to prepare for the ACT test? Log into your Naviance account and go to PrepMe under Resources for individualized ACT test preparation lessons and tools. The curriculum is online and covers all of the concepts and skills tested on the ACT, including the essay. Anywhere you have internet access, you can work ACT preparation in PrepMe in Naviance.

Please report ALL scholarship offers to Ms. Jones in the Main Office.
