Announcements: Wednesday, 10-29-2014

Prom attendance started 2nd quarter and will be checked on a regular basis.   If you are a Junior, Senior or underclassman who has been invited by an upperclassman, you must have a 95% attendance rate up to the Prom date of April 17th.

Students: The library has over 700 books that overdue. Please come in and renew or return your books to avoid any fees or fines.

Horizon FBLA will be hosting our annual blood drive on November 17.  Bonfils will set up in the auditorium lobby for the day.  Please consider donating blood and potentially save three lives!  If you are a minor, there are parent permission forms in E0505.  Please see Mr. Wilke if you have any questions.

Counseling News

Attention Seniors: If you have been accepted to a college or university and have made your final decision to attend, or have decided to enlist in the military, please email Mrs. Moquin in the counseling office with your decision and attach the senior picture of your choice. Your picture will be posted on the senior board in the main lobby!

Seniors report any and all scholarship offers, even if you choose not to accept them, to Ms. Jones in the Main Office.

Seniors: The Daniels Fund Scholarship deadline is November 15thThis scholarship pays for 100% of your college expenses; however, families must first show economic need before the application process can begin. For more information, see Mrs. Neumann in the Counseling Office or go to the Daniels Fund website at www.DanielsFund.org and take the eligibility questionnaire.


Sports, Clubs & Drama

The Winter Athletic Parent/Coach meeting is Monday, November 3rd at 6:00 pm. This is a chance for parents to get information from the winter coaches. If your student wants to try out for boys or girls basketball, wrestling or girls swim/diving, please plan on attending this meeting.

Horizon DECA is hosting a DECA Dress Drive until Friday, November 7th. Please bring in your old homecoming dresses, prom dresses, and other formal attire that you no longer fit in or will wear again to room E0506. All donations will go to A Precious Child, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing essentials to children and families in need.
