All staff and students: Valentine's Day is coming!!! On Friday, the 14th, wear your Red and get flowers and balloons for someone special. Carnations are $1.50 and balloons will be sold for $3.00 in the main lobby starting 1st hour until they sell out!

Bollman Technical Education Center is having their spring conferences on Thursday, February 13th from 4:00pm to 6:30pm.  
ProStart and Teacher Cadet conferences will be held at the ESC.  All other program are at BTEC.  For more information go to the BTEC website atwww.bollmantech.org

Any Senior boys wishing to try out for Mr. HHS must come to the informational meeting today in the Student Government room, Q2701 immediately after school.

Hey Hawks, don’t you wish it could be Sprit week again?!  Oh wait, it is Spirit week. Thursday is Millionaire day so stay classy and dress to impress.  However, don’t forget to follow the dress policy.

Attention Seniors:  Don’t miss out.  Go to Horizons website and cast your final vote for Senior favorites.

Horizon High School has once again implemented an attendance policy for students, grades 9-12 to be able to attend prom.  However, 9th & 10th grade students MUST be invited by an upperclassman in order to attend prom.  All Students wishing to attend prom are expected to maintain a minimum 95% attendance rate starting December 2, 2013 through April 11, 2014.  We are only monitoring unexcused absences and unexcused partial absences.

Maybe you can do both by hosting a foreign exchange student in your home during the next school year!! There are dozens of foreign exchange students from all around the world who are waiting for a chance to study for a year in the USA. All they need is a family to stay with -- maybe a family just like yours! If you are interested in learning more, contact Ms. Blue in Horizon's Counseling Office. She can put you in contact with one of our area's foreign exchange program representatives. 

Are you looking for a summer job?  The Governor's Summer Job Hunt is right around the corner.  This year you can pick from two different options. On February 26th from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. you can attend the Youth Job Fair at the Adams County Regional Park. This option is for youth ages 16-21 years of age. On February 27th and 28th you can attend the Virtual Job Fair.  This option is for youth 14-21 years of age.  All youth must pre-register on www.connectingcolorado.com.  Please call 720-523-6964 for registration assistance.

Prairie View High School Boys Lacrosse is recruiting JV and Varsity Players for the 2014 Spring Season.  Skills and Conditioning are every Monday,Wednesday & Friday at 4:30 at the Prairie View field (weather permitting) Feb. 17th – 21st Skills & Conditioning camp, Feb. 24th – 1st day of practice/Try outs, March 1st – Scrimmage Tournament in Colorado Springs.
