Announcements: Friday 10-18-2013

The Library has over 600 books that are overdue. Please return or renew to avoid any further fees or fines.

Horizon High School orchestra is performing Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m.  The orchestra will be performing with several special guests and it is a concert not to be missed.  Come and hear the orchestra perform Dance Macabre and Monster Mash along with several other Halloween selections.  The concert is free and open to the public; bring the whole family or just a group of friends - There will be lots of music for everyone.  These strings can swing!

All across America, school cafeterias are serving nutritious and tasty meals to students.  This week is National School Lunch Week and to celebrate we are giving away free movie tickets to one lucky student who eats lunch with us this week.  Come help us celebrate National School Lunch Week.

Trunk or Treat this Sunday, October 20th from 2:00 –5:00.  Being your little goblins for fun and treats.

Attention seniors: The deadline to submit your senior photo and quotation for the yearbook is today. For detailed instructions on submitting your photo and quotation, please go to the yearbook link under clubs and activities from the Horizon home page.

The Hawk Supply Store is open for business!! Do you need a pencil? paper? gum? sticky notes? The Store has them all for a great price. Store is open 1st, 6th, and 8th hour daily!

Counseling

Seniors:  The Daniels Fund Scholarship is now open with a deadline of Nov. 15th.  This scholarship pays for 100% of your college expenses; however, families must first show economic need before the application process can begin.  For more information see Ms. Blue in the Counseling Office or go to the Daniels Fund website at www.DanielsFund.org and take their eligibility questionnaire.

Congratulations to the Cross Country teams on their performance at Regionals.  Boys placed 7th overall and had some great individual performances and a great season.  Girls placed 4th and are going to State next Saturday, October 26th in Colorado Springs.  Congratulations to Natalie Platil and Megan Mooney on your great individual performances.
