Sports, Drama & Clubs

(Details on Athletic competitions are on our website at www.Horizon.adams12.org   Go to calendar under school information)

One of our players (Dominick Castiglione) tied a National Record for interceptions returned for touchdowns in a quarter this past Saturday, with 3.  Only 2 players in history have accomplished this feat with the first happening only 2 weeks ago in Oklahoma.  The player in Oklahoma did his over a span of 6+ minutes.  What is unbelievable is that Dominick did his in only 4 plays covering 1:17.  This may be a record that will never be broken!

Students:  If you are planning on joining basketball, wrestling or girls swimming this winter, you must pick up the athletic packet in the athletic office.  Athletic check-in is this week October 28th – November 1st and all paperwork must be turned in before you can practice.

Mckensie Castillo has qualified for the state gymnastics competition this Friday and Saturday.  She will be representing Horizon on the Thornton/Horizon Unified gymnastics team in the floor event.  Good luck Mckensie!!
