Students are allowed only ONE guest at the Homecoming Dance. If you are bringing a guest to Homecoming that does not go to Horizon High School please pick up a permission slip in the Dean’s Office.
Students: the Hawk Supply Store is open for business!! Do you need a pencil? paper? gum? sticky notes? The Store has them all for a great price. Store is open 1st, 6th, and 8th hour daily!
Counseling
Seniors: The Daniels Fund Scholarship is now open with a deadline of Nov. 15th. This scholarship pays for 100% of your college expenses; however, families must first show economic need before the application process can begin. For more information see Ms. Blue in the Counseling Office or go to the Daniels Fund website at www.DanielsFund.org and take their eligibility questionnaire.

Congratulations to the Cross Country team, as both the boys and girls teams won 1st place yesterday in Kiowa despite a very difficult course.
The boys team continues to make improvements with 2nd, 4th, 6th and 12th place overall finishes led by Juniors, Luk and Tanner. Luk led almost the entire race and then took the entire boys race on a little extra run to make the course more challenging.
The girls team were one place away from a very rare perfect score by placing 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th individually led by freshman Natalie and Senior Kaley.
FCCLA will meet on September 24 from 3:00-4:00 in room F0607 to discuss the Homecoming fundraiser and the Trunk or Treat event. Please see Mrs. Zylstra if you have any questions.
